How to Do Your Thai 90-Day Report Online (TM47)
Updated Mon, 12 October 2026
Find your next 90-day report date →Foreigners who stay in Thailand for more than 90 days in a row must tell Thai Immigration where they live every 90 days. This is the 90-day report, also called the TM47. It is free, and after the first time you can usually do it online.
Who needs to report?
Anyone on a long-stay visa or extension (for example retirement, marriage, work, education or DTV) who stays in Thailand 90 days or more without leaving. Leaving the country resets the count, and you do not report for a stay that ends before day 90.
When to file
- Your arrival day counts as day 1, so your first report is due on day 90.
- You can file from 15 days before the due date until 7 days after it.
- Your next due date is counted from the day you filed. It is printed on your receipt.
Can I file online?
Yes, but not the first time after you arrive. Your first report after entering Thailand must be made in person at your local immigration office. Reports after that can be filed online, as long as they are not overdue.
How to file online, step by step
- Go to the official TM47 website: tm47.immigration.go.th.
- Choose the option to submit a new 90-day notification and accept the terms.
- Enter your passport details exactly as on your last report.
- Enter your current address in Thailand. Use the same address your landlord or hotel registered for you.
- Submit, then check your email. Your request is first “pending”, then “approved” usually within a few days.
- Download and print, or save, the approved receipt. It shows your next due date.
If your request is rejected, the email gives the reason. Common causes are a wrong address, a changed passport, or filing too early. If you are near the deadline, go to immigration in person instead.
What you need for an in-person report
- Passport
- A completed TM47 form (available at the office)
- A copy of your passport photo page, latest entry stamp, visa or extension stamp, and departure card if you have one
- Your last 90-day receipt, if this is not your first report
What is the fine for reporting late?
2,000 THB if you report late. If you are caught never having reported, the fine can be up to 5,000 THB plus up to 200 THB a day. Late reports cannot be filed online.
